  • With years of experience in immigration law, Elyannette is a leader in immigration services of excellence. In 2017, she decided to found Ramirez Martinez Law Offices, PLLC with the intention of helping the Hispanic immigrant community in the United States, taking into account the importance of each person understanding the complexities of immigration laws in their language. With this vision in mind, she has had the opportunity to represent hundreds of immigrants before the United States Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS). Her practice focuses on deportation defense and family immigration.

    She graduated cum laude from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she served as an assistant to Professors Carlos I. Gorrín Peralta and Roberto Abesada Agüet. She was a member of the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico Law Review and was recognized with the Ivette Coll de Pestaña Award for her outstanding writing. Additionally, she also served as the President of the Student Chapter of the College of Notaries of Puerto Rico for the period 2013-2014.

    Prior to establishing Ramirez Martinez Law Offices, PLLC, Elyannette worked as a bankruptcy attorney in Puerto Rico. In 2016, Elyannette moved from Puerto Rico to the State of Virginia and began practicing immigration law at the former firm Rodriguez and Sanabria, LLC, where she had the opportunity to represent many asylum seekers from Central America in their deportation proceedings before the Immigration Courts located in Arlington, VA and Baltimore, MD.

    In 2017, Elyannette decided to establish her practice in immigration law. As an immigration attorney, Elyannette has had the opportunity to touch the lives of many people from different parts of the world, mainly from the Northern Triangle (El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala), but her work has extended to the representation of immigrants of various nationalities such as Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Venezuela, Peru, Cameroon, among others. Elyannette has successfully represented clients before the Immigration Court and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a Hispanic, Elyannette understands the barriers and difficulties our community faces in settling in the United States. As a result, Elyannette is motivated to provide excellent legal services and make the process easier for everyone. Elyannette speaks English and Spanish. Elyannette enjoys tropical music, the beach, reading, good coffee, and gardening.
